Poor service

If you live in a small town, good luck getting service. Early on, years ago, when we first started this service, it was great. Now, we can't get people to come out, and sometimes even respond to our request. Trying to cancel the service was an experience too. They offered me a 10% discount per month, then 25%, and 50% discount. I told them what good is the discount if you can't get service. I'm very unhappy with this program. We needed service on our dryer. We called on April 16th, and still, there has been no response. It's May 20th, and we had to go purchase another dryer. We paid close to $150 each month for all the programs we signed up for. It looks like it was a waste of money.

Not receiving good service for an emergency plumbing issue

On Monday November 27th around 12 noon I called because I was having a plumbing issue. My pipe downstairs in my basement was cracked and water was leaking rapidly. And my toilets,my first floor tub and kitchen sink had water backing up.So I called to have repairs done and your plumbing service came out the next day on Tuesday November 28th and told me that they have to replace the pipe and the soonest they could replace it would be December 4th. And they would have to forward my claim to a-1 suburban to have the pipes roded out. And they told me if I don't hear from them in 45 minutes give them a call.So I waited over an hour and I called the soonest appointment would be Monday December 4th. So I called back to your agent to see if there is another plumbing service who would be available sooner.So the agent gave me a number to Hessville plumbing and told me to call to see if they had a sooner appointment so I did and they did. So I called back to your agent and told them that they could come out the next day and your agent told me that you are not contracted with that company. So by this time I was extremely upset. So I as to speak to a supervisor. The agent put me on hold to see if a supervisor was available. The agent returned to the call and told me that the supervisor was on another call and would call me back between 2 to 3 hours which I felt was to long to assist in an emergency situation. I never received a call so I called back for the 3rd time to explain my situation again and once again I asked to speak to a supervisor. This agent kept putting me on hold saying that she was waiting for a supervisor when she returned to the phone she told me that my claim would be put in as an emergency service and one of the other plumbing companies would call me if there was a sooner appointment. I was on this call for over 45 minutes. I was so frustrated and upset I hung up. So today Wednesday November 29 I called again to ask to speak to a supervisor and check the status on my claim. This agent told me that my appointment was for Monday December 4th once again I explained the urgency of my plumbing issue. And once again I was told there were no other plumbing companies available sooner.This was the worst service request that I have had since I've been with your company. The agents accents are hard to understand and there is to much chatter in the background from other agents.

Preferred solution: Better turn around time to speak to a supervisor and if they are not available at that time. That they would return a call the same day.

User's recommendation: I pray that you can receive better service for a emergency service. And if there is a problem and you need to talk to a supervisor they will be available in a timely manner.

I'm always told there is not ???

Terrible customer service

This company has obviously outsourced over seas. I've had this service for over 20 years. My furnace went out. Called them was hung up on several times. Then gives me a company that doesn't service my area. Cause they have the company name and phone number called them they said they have never come to my town ever. Called them back gave me another company said they would call me in 1-3 hours. Had their name and phone number for that heating and cooling. That company told me they said they were too busy and couldn't come out til next week. The home solutions operater never told me. My husband than calls gets a supervisor who says she will have someone call Noone ever did. At this moment it's 35 degrees outside. They will sure take my money every month but when I need th service I'm blown off.

Nipsco Home Solutions - Total Scam
This was a service my ex signed up for over 10 years and two houses prior. Since I pay my gas bill online, I didn't look at the detailed charges... that part is my fault... NIPSCO HOME SOLUTIONS is what they call themselves, but on your gas bill they will claim that this is just a third party called Pivotal Home Solutions. They also state that the only way to get help with the charge on your bill is to contact PHS. Be prepared to spend *hours* making several phone calls to someplace where English is not the first language. If you get someone who you can understand, they will claim that they cannot cancel your service - they will then transfer you to the cancellation department. After that, you may spend another 40 minutes in a cue until your call is eventually disconnected. I tried to speak to a supervisor in which they claim they cannot send me to a super until they locate my account (which they say is not there). I am now two months waiting for my cancellation while paying the $16.48 each month, just because I don't want my account to go into collections. I am disappointed that NIPSCO would allow this to be associated with their business. Please save yourself the headache and a lot of $$ - DO NOT sign up for this!!!

People if you have Nipsco Home Solutions cancel them. We have been without a furnace for two weeks now, and just keep getting the run around from them. we have called about thirty time and nothing, they take your money and do nothing. like I said beware. They did come out and said they were going to fix it, but have never return.

Wants to cancel the amount they charge on my Nipsco bill

Yes we change some Gas pipes lines under my hose basement and they dont cover nothing, we have to do it for ourself and call somebody to help us to fixed the problem, so we decide dont have your services anymore

I called 5 days ago and was told they would be out between 8-12 on Tuesday June 25 no call no show. Called that day and they said that they would be out today. No call no show. 10 phone calls and Im still waiting. They also lied and said that they did call but no answered my husband is retired and his phone didnt ring!

Central Air Unit

My brother(age72) had scheduled an appointment because his ac wasn't turning on. I came by a week before the appointment and I turned it on with no issues. My brother simply didn't press the down button to turn the temperature down. The Home Solutions comes because he didn't cancel the appointment. He removes the freon and says that you need a new system for $4-6K. Reported to Home Solutions they're sending another guy to access it again. BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU HAVE THEM SERVICE.

Hot water greater went out on july 21 they sent a company out who wanted to barter for my car and would only take cash, and not get it Put in For 4/5 days the guy was very stretchy so I decided to go with Home Depot who could accommodate me the next day for the same price, after calling home solutions they said go ahead and they would reimburse me my $400. After 15 calls and tons of e calls later Im still waiting, so I called the BBB and channel 5 Response to see if they can help, Im paying $39.00 a mont for a warrenyi that I dont need on a new hot water heater that has its own warranty. Hoping for a solution quickly!
